The story

This silhouette tells the story of a singer with the voice of an angel who was invited to Vienna to give a concert at the opera. The next day, she decided to go into the nearby forests. At that moment, something magical happened. Autumnal nature merged with her. Pine cones landed on her clothes and she was drawn to the roots of ancient trees. It was a true symbiosis between nature and this woman. Then she woke up and her dream was over, She was in her hospital bed, She knew that this day would be special. Special because it was the day of her death, So she smiled and put on Vivaldi’s Autumn of the 4 Seasons.

The story

This silhouette refers to my favourite book since Yanis was 13. Tolstoy’s: Anna Karenina. This books evokes a notion that he loves in literature: ill-fated love. Anna Karenina portrays this sentiment perfectly, in that the main protagonist commits suicide because of his love. In French literature, the perfect example would be Madame Bovary. Love can lead to madness and sometimes, in the saddest of cases, to death. Time is also very important in this story. The station clock strikes as Anna jumps onto the tracks, as if it were her time to go.

The story

This silhouette is a representation of the person Yanis is. About 8 years ago, he started having panic attacks, ranging from the urge to vomit for no reason to the day when dark thoughts began to cross my mind. When he turned 20, he was so afraid of life that he decided to have himself committed to a psychiatric hospital. The doctor he spoke to saved his life made him understand that he wasn’t suicidal, but that he was actually being overly efficient. He got him out and told him never to lose the butterflies in his eyes when he talked about embroidery. Since that day, he has fought every day to show people that life always wins. So this silhouette is an ode to life, but also his own rebirth.
